Electrocardiogram (ECG) acquisition and interpretation is both an art and a science! While our content is grounded in solid evidence base, we still believe that this topic can be made interactive, enjoyable and memorable for all levels with a variety of methods!
Our traditional courses have previously been offered in an “in-person” format.
Since 2020, the #ECGroadshow has moved to an online method of course delivery.
This has been primarily in response to COVID-19 public health measures but has also allowed our clients to enjoy learning from the comfort of their own homes, with live discussion, interactive case reviews and recorded playback for those working frontline.
Who should attend?
Our courses are open to anyone who feels that they may benefit from either; gaining new knowledge, or refreshing their foundations of ECG acquisition and interpretation.
Previous students have included;
Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Advanced Paramedics, Nursing Students, Registered General Nurses, Medical Students, Medical Interns, NCHD’s and General Practitioners, but is not limited to these grades!

Dave is currently an Advanced Paramedic, working in both frontline emergency care and as a PHECC Tutor/ Lecturer/ Instructor in Advanced Paramedic and Paramedic practice.
During his career, Dave has worked on frontline (double-crewed) Emergency Ambulances, (solo crewed) Rapid Response Vehicles and the Emergency Aeromedical Service (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service).
He holds an MSc in Emergency Medical Science (Advanced Paramedic) and a GradDip in Emergency Medical Science from University College Dublin, along with a Level 7 award in Leadership, Mindset & Performance from IT Carlow.
He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of UCD’s Centre for Emergency Medical Science, where he has lectured and supervised the didactic and clinical internship elements of the GradDip Advanced Paramedic Programme.
Dave is currently the Vice Chair of the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council’s Medical Advisory Committee where he is involved in Clinical Practice Guideline development.
Dave teaches Advanced Cardiac Life Support and ACLS for Experienced Providers with several Dublin hospitals as well as the National ACLS Instructor training programme with Irish heart.
ECG 1 – Online

• Lead II - Common Rhythms
• 12 Lead ECG acquisition & Interpretation
• Acute Coronary Syndrome & the 12 Lead
• ST segment Elevated MI Recognition
• Reciprocal Changes
• Posterior ECGs
• Right Sided ECG
• Assessment of the ACS Patient
